Also try looking under Therapeutic riding. I know of a couple of places near Philadelphia, I volunteer at one of them (Sebastian Riding Associates).
Go to NARHA’s website- they are the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, and their web address is http://www.narha.org. They will have a list of places which offer riding for special needs equestrians, as well as a list of places that offer lessons and therapeutic riding. Hope this helps you.

if you live in illinois there is a place in monmouth that is owned by an ex producer of the NBC nightly news and his wife I am not sure what is called though but google should help
