   I have heard and read some pretty controversial things about him and know of quite a few articles on him about horse abuse. I think he is actively being sued

   NOOO i’m sorry..but there is A LOT of doubt about if Monty Roberts and the whole "Shy Boy" thing was real or not.

   if you really want my advice, i’d definatley say stick to Clinton Anderson or Pat Parelli. however, if you were going to try and follow someone to try and train your horse yourself, Clinton Anderson would probably be the best way to go.

   Pat Parelli is amazing to watch[i think so anyways], but if your horse isn’t trained the right way, Pat’s methods may casue him to become pushy and not very cooperative. Clinton Anderson, i’ve found, has the best training methods & wonderful results.

   I have seen Monty Roberts and have observed him. I think he has some good tips. I can’t think of anything I do that I can say I got from him, but I haven’t seen anything wrong with what he does. I haven’t heard he is being sued and have never seen him abuse a horse. What I have seen of him has been good and I find no fault with him. I do like other clinicians better, but I suppose anybody can find something wrong with any of them. If you are going to learn from any of them, In would find one that makes sense to you.

   I’ve never seen him in action, since I live in NZ, but from what I have heard and read yes he does. I read both his books, one of which talks about his whole life, and the other about Shy Boy, and they have great tips in them, especially the first which had a great section in the end, full of training tips, about doing join-up etc.
   Monty Roberts is amazing! If I could see his work in person I would jump at the chance and in future when I have horses, and hopefully adopt a wild one (a Kaimanawa) I’m going to use his methods to train it.

   monty roberts is an amazing liar and con man. Libels his dead father.

   The e-book is availible on line at no cost, just sign a release. "Horse Whispers and Lies". Friends and his own brother and sister rebutt all his claims. Interesting read.

   He has been and is being sued.

   The Shy Boy incident was a set up and he very nearly killed a couple of horses doing it.
