Katie’s a very nice rider. Her hands need to be still, but thats ok. to bad she lost interest. she has some natural ability.

its too bad she quit riding. shes amazing for her age… except the crop!! lol… i would never quit… that lesson looks like fun. i wish i did that in my lessons

Actually for the style of english riding she is doing the crop does not need to be on the inside.

wow im youg but the reins were WAY too long she could get seriously hurt if the horse spookeed i wish i could talk to the instructor
give her a break guys, does it really matter what side the crop is on its just practice.

you could compare it to 5,25 kg bouncing on a 70 kg person, for about 45 minutes (or as long as a riding lesson lasts)
everyone should learn to sit properly before riding on his/her own. controlling a horse and controlling yourself at the same time is really difficult, even when you’re riding since years.
everyone should be able to sit calmly and ride with calm hands to not cause the horse any pain. not in the back, not in the mouth.
(sorry if my english isn’t correct!)
and believe me, i’ve taught many children to ride and do know the difficulties.
shame she lost interest ! reins are WAY AND I MEAN WAYY TOO LONG !!! she could get hurt if horse spooked coz she would have no control !

Katie, your such an awesome rider for your age. It is such a shame that you lost interest. Maybe you will get back into the saddle one day soon. Just ignore any of the nasty comments made on here sweetie…you done your parents proud & achieved what most girls your age only dream of. Well done Katie

You shouldn’t be able to give up something so amazing, just think that people who really want to ride aren’t as fortunate as Katie was. Anyway she was really good and had a lot of talent, she would have done well in shows.
