Finalfurlong…Interesting that you have the need to post your resume? Teaching is the subject, Not EGO

Probably because you are already overconfident. However, I woudl still suggest you give it a try…you might just find it “fun” since you already have all the confidence you need! Riding should be fun as well as instructive.

Just because I have never taught riding, doesnt mean I dont know what Im on about, but if you think sitting on a horse backwards is helping improve confidence and ‘balance’ (even though literally she is just sitting there) then thats fine with me… Im not over confident, Im just a good rider with potential :)

Get a grip of yourself man, I only said (in my opinion) that personally sitting on a horse backwards wont improve confidence and balance, your acting as if its some big deal

  5. FinalFurlong1on 04 Mar 2010 at

Alls I was saying really was, I think if you ride properly and often enough then that will improve your confidence, balance and riding, theres no need to go on the way you have, call yourself a trainer, what if one of your kids (who you teach) said ‘i dont think riding backwards is improving my riding’ would you say ‘I would assume youve never taugh horseback riding before’ all you had to say was ‘well i think it does improve your confidence’ or something, not go on ridiculous like that

Personaly. I think your a stuck up, full of shit, little brat. I’m 14 as well, and I too was taught to ride by the Polo Club, in Colorado. Big time money and the very first things they did with me was made me ride backwards. It is a skill that you could probably use. You can say all you want about ‘I’m the best rider’ yet i doubt you are. I’ve worked many years to get where I’m at and now, finaly I get to go work with the 2010 Dressage Grand Prix gold winner, Mari Naton.

  12. xXRockstarChickXxon 20 Mar 2010 at

So maybe if you work a bit harder, you too can be an AMZING rider like this LITTLE girl.

  13. FinalFurlong1on 21 Mar 2010 at

At what point in my comments did I say ‘I’m the best rider’? I simply said I have achieved a lot in my time riding and that I’m only 14. And looking at your comment ‘I think your are a stuck up full of shit little brat’ I think that is actually you because I don’t go around calling people like that when they give their opinion on riding… personally, I don’t think riding backwards helps and you do think it helps (BIG DEAL) as you can see, this conversation ended two weeks ago, so get over it

  14. FinalFurlong1on 21 Mar 2010 at

‘to be an amazing rider like this little girl’
She is only learning, so to be amazing like this little girl, I will fetch my standards of riding right down to where I began and I’ll be an amazing rider. Great! @RockstarChick, just chill out, no need to get wound up about someone riding and how can you doubt I’m not a good rider when you haven’t even seen a picture of me riding?

  15. xXRockstarChickXxon 21 Mar 2010 at

Okay. :D I’ll leave it at that. Why are you getting all wound up because of my opinion of YOU. Practice what you preach my dear.

  16. FinalFurlong1on 22 Mar 2010 at

Your opinion of me doesn’t bother me, because I know it is wrong and you don’t know me in the slightest. I was simply replying to your disgusting comments about me

I like how you use a bitless bridle with kids riding.

  20. mrsrunner678on 03 Apr 2010 at

@Kidshorsinaround I’m 100% behind you on this, when I was learning to ride my instructor did this to me :D I gained so much confidence with it, and now I can ride any horse without worrying about things that might happen. Not to mention it was a blast. Such a weird feeling!

  21. Kidshorsinaroundon 03 Apr 2010 at

@my0arabs Thanks! I almost always use bitless bridles on beginner riders until they gain a good, independent seat and hands and don’t use the reins for balance!

when i walk behind my horse, i stand in very close and run my hand along her back to let her know im there. if you stand close the force of a kick wouldn’t be as bad
