    Holysmokes, Let’s all emulate that first rider–strong, motionless lower leg, so balanced, just enough movement to encourage her horse, but nothing extemperaneious, she really has done her home schooling!!!

    you do not have to “make” the horse do anything, a well trained horse is willing enough that all you have to do is ask.
    good training = teaching your horse the language of riding and then growing a bond that will make them willing to do anything for us when we ask them.
    thats the only way I like seeing horses trained.
