Remeber to pull the forelock out.

The flash band thing is only to protect people from being bitten

How old was your horse that didn’t use a bit? did you use a bosal or a hackamore?
im curious too learn anything i can so I ask a lot of questions :)
my bridle doesn’t have a nose band at all but it has the throat latch and the band in front of the ears :)

  3. rodeoqueen1300 says:

i think head collars is a cool name :P its different, I like it. I wish I could live in england for a little while :) get a change of scenery

  4. rodeoqueen1300 says:

she doesn’t make it look complicated, she was just trying to kind of slow the process down to show beginners. :)

  5. AnnaMaeAnnaMaeMe says:

Umm… not sure how old but she had been originally a western horse and they think she used a bit that damaged her tounge so if she had a bit she would play with it alot. nope.. i didnt use a hackamore/ bosal . i dont know what its called but it kinda just crossed near where the noseband would tie… and if you slipped your hand into where the cross was you would feel the pressure if someone was to pull on the reins.

    hehe england is cool,

  7. Myboxerdoglover says:

Wow!!this is way different from the way i do it dont use 2 tie things i only use 1

  8. horsegirl12341 says:

the bittless bridle is much different than a bosal or a hackamore. it doesnt put pressure on the nose such as a hackamore and is much less painful! =P

  9. rodeoqueen1300 says:

    thanks :)

SarafinaImelza i think u got it wrong the flash is to stop the horse opening its mouth when being ridden. my horse wears one as he opens his mouth causing me to have a little less control.

  11. 4everhorserider says:

i still haven’t gotten bridling a horse yet! lol. I mean like i dont pull up the ear bands when the bit is in my horses mouth!! lol. then that makes her spit it out. haha. i get the bit inside her mouth……then i dont pull the head band up!!! lol.

  12. HorseChick108 says:

I do it exactly the same, except instead of taking off the halter completely I make it so the horses nose is free and the halter is just ariund its neck, then take it off after im done putting the bridle on. I find it gives you a little more control when dealing with a horse with a little “attitude” :P

  13. animalluvforlife says:

i thought those were for like pro’s cause you don’t have as much control over your horse

  14. horsegirl12341 says:

not really it can work for any horse my horse took to it right away it is actualy very painless and gives you plenty control
    =0

  15. 123Jorja123 says:

@SarafinaImelza the flash is also used just to keep there mouth closed so it looks better when your riding. I ride my horse with one for that reason, not because he bites.

  16. Ride2livLiv2ride says:

Ya, flases arent used for biting horses, they are a measure of controll. I’m re-training my horse right now, and we’re just getting used to bits again. I bought a new bridle with a flash so that he can’t grab the bit in his teeth and take off, because thats what he used to do, and if he does that I no longer have any rein aids.

  17. JessicaLovesZayne says:

    Thanks

  18. graceloveseventing says:

I was always taught to fasten the throat latch first…isn’t it weird that every trainer has their own right and wrong way of doing things…it’s really confusing sometimes

  19. RagazzaDelMarco says:

I disagree with a flash noseband. If a horse is opening his mouth to escape the bit, then either a different bit might solve the problem or the rider’s hands are too heavy. Treat the cause, not the symptom.

  20. XCrossJumpX says:

you got it sorta wrong ..

  21. KisaKittyLove says:

does the bit or bid whatever its called, does it go over the horses toung or under? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP, IM RIDING IN 2 DAYS AND I DONT KNOW….

  22. TheStormrider98 says:

over there toung it would be extremly uncomfortable if it was under and very dangerous for the horse and its a bit. if u want to no anything elsee abt horses just ask me ive lived with them all my life. goodluck with ur lesson xxx

  23. TheStormrider98 says:

a flash is for more control in generally fast horses although it can be extremly dangerouse if it does not fit as it can stop breathing its not the ansswwer to a NAUGHTY HORSE! its cruel and can be very painful onsome horses always get advice before u use one as ive known one thts cut ito a horses muzzle and been very uncomfortable.

  24. KisaKittyLove says:

thanks, so its over? and thanks so much for helping!

  25. girl112791 says:
