    - Egg on a spoon races
-Trail ride to the local Dairy Queen (If it’s not too far)
    - Relay Races
    - Riding Bareback (If the horses are trained)
    - Going swimming with the horses

I did this stuff with some students at the barn and they really liked it.

I think you need to first focus on being professional. You’re over 18 and insured right?

  3. Maria says:

I do hope you are certified, over 18 and carrying proper insurance? You might also want to carry yourself a little more professionally in the real world than you do on here if you want anyone to take you seriously enough to pay for your expertise. Personally, your lesson plan of games and asking for help on Y!A is not what I would sign a child up for.

Am guessing you are from the US. I understand that from there, and in the UK you have to be qualified and insured!

Just because you can ride, does not mean that you can teach safely.

Individual states cover equine professionals under state law as far as insurance and the naysayers. As far as games go try having them write their names In the arena in huge letters one letter at a time to teach control. Have them come up with patterns and ‘judge’ them on Horsemanship. Try to use games that teach control, balance, and that are fun.
