she needs to loosen up, sit forward, soften her hands, and be more confident:-(
You need to visit a trainer/instructor and get some help. I’m not sure you should get a horse if you don’t know the basics such as backing up and collection.
Thanks. I am looking into other horses, he just has too many problems for me (just starting out). Thank you. I was also woundering how big a good horse arena should be?
that horse knows how to back up, DUH!
A horse that is fidgenting that much should be corrected. If they are young now it needs to be corrected or it will be a huge problem when they are older
that girl is a good rider and so what if the horse knows how to back up that isnt the point.the point is training the horse and getting it to do what you want it to be and to work as a team so well done
Mares, moody little things aren’t they! Though I love that about them!
I would agree with bucklesluva, the last thing they should worry about is backing right now. It is also too bad they show the girl asking for so many steps if this is a horse that is just learning. She is not releasing pressure with the slightest try
– the horse is not in a good frame for a horse that seems to understand a back-up
Martingale would help this horse! Help encourage that nose to stay down where it needs to be.
