Horse training issues? Please help?

My 7-year-old quarter horse gelding has always been spunky and I think he’s got major spring fever. I’ve worked with him a lot in the last few weeks and he’s still kind of nuts. We live in Minnesota and have no indoor so could hardly ride all winter due to ICE, so that’s obviously a reason for him to be a little spunky. But he’s been tossing his head like crazy and I know that it is not his teeth because we had them floated recently. The tie down seemed to help with the head tossing but he’s still funky. He even reared a bit. Once I got him into a solid trot or canter things were good, but transitions were insane. What could be the issue here?

Look here. The head down style is dougs. Do you know one other than can get the head down with kisses? Its easy if you know that lateral flection is the key. And its dougs system.

horse riding lessons or lease?

My skills are:
my riding abilities (walk, jog, trot, canter) and grooming, (curry comb, hard/soft brush, wire brush, mane and tail, fly spray) tack, (bridling and saddling, but only western) and working with a variety of different temperaments (cribbing, don’t like to be tied up) and breeds (mostly quarter horse, mustang, warm bloods)
Choice 1:
so for 5 for 5 lessons, once a week about 1 hour of riding time and 3 hours of general horse grooming, maintenance, different horse selection available the the advice and instruction from a knowledgeable teacher
Choice 2:
0 a month for a lease with a horse that is described by the owner as "needs and experienced rider. He is used for trail riding but is very fearful….. After 6 months of owning him i have never seen him
buck. I can get on him bareback after a long time
without seeing him. In the stable I ride in just a halter
and lead rope and bareback without even a pad on. I
had done this before and it was about 2 weeks since the
last time i rode him" after contacting the owner they said that it sounds like we might be a good fit
In conclusion:
the amount i pay is definitely a factor considering the economy today but i don’t want to rush into a lease if i’m not ready for it. what do you guys think?
i also mentioned to the owner that i was an intermediate, not expert or advanced rider, and she said it sounded like a good fit. does this make a difference?

I have trained my own horses who are sucsessfull in the show ring and out, and would now like to reach out to others and help with problem horses or just people who want to make specific problems better, or learn new ,fun and productive training methods and ideas!
Specific diciplines I train in are mainly western and english pleasure. I am also pretty knowledgeable with jumping, barrels, dressage and other eventing things. Before offering help I try to learn as much as i can about every and all diciplines of riding. I also do halter, grooming and showmanship. I am located in Pa and work with most breeds, including Quarter Horses, paints (pintos), TBs, morgans. But every horse is different and needs special needs. I believe that if you provide proper care, training and love that suits your horse, you can unlock their inter champion!

If you have problems with your horse and could use some virtual training, or ideas and suggestions email me and let me know what the problems are and how you want it to get fixed and i can see what i can do.
